While summer was coming to an end andthe temperatures started to decrease the forecast for this particularweekend looked amazing, even for the north of Europe.
So what could be better than to take achance and travel to Scandinavia for an extended weekend?
Since our brothers from Denmark and Sweden are the European pioneers in the field of concrete skate parksit was an easy choice for us and the Kiel based skate park designersof Anker Rampen to head up north. A spontaneous trip, armed with tentsand barbeque on a mission, to visit as many skate parks as possible.
No sooner said than done, on Friday morning, the team came together in Kiel with a special guest, Freddy,a photographer from Bilbao. The atmosphere was great and so was theweather while we started packing our bus. We took the ferry from Puttgarden to Rodby, Denmark, then to Roskilde and Copenhagen, to Malmö and we continued until we arrived at our camp near a nature reserve in the evening. Small bonus to the location, there is afairly famous and not just small DIY skate park (Do It Yourself) right next door.
We spend the Saturday at the Malmöskate park and went on a small trip to Helsingborg which is nearby. The evening was dedicated to a good piece of meat from our barbecueand the nightlife of Malmö. On Sunday we packed our tents, our stuffand drove slowly towards home. It was and amazing experience and agreat trip.
